Labuschagne Omitted from Australia's One-Day International Squad Against Team India

The Australian selectors have left out Labuschagne from the three-match ODI series facing India, as in-form Queensland teammate Matt Renshaw getting a shock selection.

Performance Issues Lead to Omission

The 31-year-old has featured in 68 one-day internationals and scored 1,871 ODI runs at an average of 34.64 runs per dismissal, but will now continue to press his claims a Test recall in time for the Ashes beginning in Perth on November 21.

Renshaw's Return and Team Changes

Recent performances suggest of a return to form with a score of 160 for Queensland in the Sheffield Shield this week, while Renshaw scored a century for the Bulls in the same game against Tasmania.

Renshaw could to make his first white-ball appearance in the forthcoming series against India after his last inclusion in an ODI squad in 2022.

Renshaw has played 14 Test matches with the most recent appearance in India in 2023 but is also seeking a return to the Test team as Australia seek a answer to their opening batting issues.
